Our visits


PREVIOUS VISITS


Our visits have been varied, universally interesting and have included theatre visits to Chichester, Guildford and Brighton, garden visits to Saville Gardens , boat trips on both the Wey & Arun canal and the Thames. Our stately home visits have included  Firle House,  Loseley Hall and Chartwell.  Different experiences have included Goodwood, Brooklands, Farnborough aircraft museum, Lloyds of London, Guys Hospital old operating theatre,  Greenwich, St Catherines Hospice and  the Medway Queen. All visits have  included a meal or pub lunch. Our most recent visit was to  Crossness  pumping station,  a cathedral of ironwork, monument to victorian engineering and a very popular filmset!


FORTHCOMING VISITS


Pashley Manor Gardens - Monday April 22: This spectacular annual festival features 45,000 tulips at this private garden on the Kent/Sussex border with 100  varieties of tulip planted in colour themed gardens leading to a wooded bluebell walk. It is proposed to car share for this visit



Chichester Festival Theatre- Oliver - Tuesday August 27:  Our annual trip to Chichester Theatre, this year is to watch Oliver, at a matinee performance. The coach will leave Limpsfield from 10 am to reach Chichester for lunch prior to the performance. The visit is now sold out so if you are  interested but haven't yet booked, spent to David Cook, our visits secretary to go on the waiting list



Farnborough Aircraft Museum - Tuesday October 8


The visits secretary has been encouraged to facilitate a return to Farnborough Aircraft Museum in October for both those members who weren't able to attend the very popular visit last year, and of course for those who enjoyed it so much they wish to return.
